Were you or your wives really offended by Miley Cyrus's MTV VMA performance? I don't see what the big deal was? Two consenting adults onstage performing. End of story. MTV is garbage to begin with so when people claim they were shocked, I shake my head.

I dont see what the big deal was either, but then again, I only have boys. To me, all I saw was a kid trying to be an adult, typical 20yo stuff. Someone might want to tell her that sneakers are not sexy

If anyone as a parent sat down with their kids to watch that show they didnt see anything they were not expecting/hoping to see and should IMO be nominated for the Worst Parent Ever Award. You would have to be a stone cold moron to sit down with your kids and watch something like that and if you let your kids watch it in their room or whatever then its simple...you dont give a shit.

It was a 20 second lap dance at best. No big deal. Funny how the same parents take their kids to watch a vampire fuck the shit our of a human (Twilight).

I did. My girls who are in their late teens now remember Miley. They all thought she made a fool of herself not only because of what she did on stage but because how she turned out to be. The thing about the whole Miley thing is kids as young as 13 and 14 watch the show too. I sure don't think it's cool if I had kids that young are watching a chick grab a dudes junk, or finger herself w/ a foam finger.

PokerPlayer said it best as far as parent. If you don't think it was offensive for your kids to see then you simply don't give a shit about your kids.

Have a 9 year old daughter. She saw "Miley Cyrus" in concert when she was 4 and it was a "little" more adult than I hoped. Short shorts and some dancing that was probably a little too much for the crowd she was performing too.

I don't have a huge problem with her performance but very glad my daughter didn't see it.
