The Atlanta Braves have posted a five game winning streak over the past week and will look to Mike Minor tonight to keeps thing moving in the right direction. Minor 13-5 2.99 ERA overall on the season seeks a fifth consecutive win tonight riding a 4-0 3.03 ERA stetch. Minor is 3-3 4.30 ERA in eleven career starts vs. Miami however and will seek to improve on those matchup numbers as well. Minor will face a Marlins lineup that has dropped 9 of last 10 including five in a row hitting .185 scoring 18 runs in those games. Ruggiano went 0-4 Friday after going .438 with 3 HR's and 8 RBI's in previous ten games. Stanton however has had success vs. Minor with 2 HR's and Minor must make Stanton a priority out tonight. Turner is 0-7 3.57 ERA in 12 road games for Miami receiving only six runs of support in eight starts. Turner has allowed nine runs in 11 Innings Pitched in two career starts at Turner Field and will face Freddie Freeman with a .376 career average vs. Miami. Freeman has .462 average with 14 RBI's and 13 HR's in last 14 games at Turner Field. Atlanta sincerely hopes Freeman can continue contributing with key two out hits for the remainder of the regular season and into the post season. Freeman and McCann have contributed the big HR's during this new winning streak and Braves fans hope the long balls continue. Game time tonight 7:10 PM EST and summertime showers may come into play.
