In my running thread First Baseball Plays This Season, I posted the A's as a play today. What you may not know, is that Tampa Bay is staying at a hotel in San Francisco and did not know that the Bay Bridge to Oakland is closed this weekend. Their normal 20 minute bus ride to and from Oakland has taken almost 2 hours each way. It's no surprise they are pissed and tired.
Price didn't want to ride the team bus Friday and took a taxi instead. He didn't know the bridge was closed and the almost 2 hour taxi ride cost him $200, although I'm sure he can afford it. He made it known he was not a happy camper.
Bottom line, look for an A's sweep today.
