What's the use in having an all-around solid safety anymore if he can't pop the ball loose from a receiver anymore, or simply lay a hit on someone?

It's getting to the point of ridiculous.

Defenders can't hit, offensive players can't put their head down... What's next?!?

Will we all still watch?

Of course we will.

But the NFL continues to inch closer & closer to becoming a pansy-league compared to years ago.

Although it would likely fail as others have, if another league wants to try and form and give it a shot, this would be the best time to attempt it and they would have a much larger shot to make it work vs recent ones who have tried..

I think it is necessary. But I agree it worsens the product.

But I still don't need guys getting brain damage for my viewing pleasure

Hate it. Every time there's a hard hit down the middle, on an incomplete pass, you have to hold your breath that there won't be a flag.

I think its a bad rule short term but a great rule long term. Todays players are so used to leading with their head which causes so many flags. Kids today are being taught to tackle the right way and when these kids cycle their way up to the NFL, there wont be as many flags.
