Have you ever heard a song the first time or first few times and misunderstood the lyrics ?

2 for me.

(1) The Atlanta Rythem Section song "So in to you" .... i thought the lyrics "voodoo in the vibes" were doodoo in the pipes.

(2) The Manfred Mann song "Blinded by the light" .... i thought the lyrics "revved up like a deuce" were wrapped up like a douche.

I'm still trying to figure out what scooter was doing in "10th avenue freeze out"

So lets here it RXers , what song lyric did you misunderstand ?

Heres "So in to you" . It still sounds like doodoo in the pipes to me. ... be sure to stick around for the end , it has a top 15 review for that week in 77.

All Along the Watchtower...the line is 'plowmen dig my earth'..I explained that to a buddy. He thought Dylan/Hendrix were saying 'wild women dig my herb'.

I heard on the radio the other day a lady call in and say "I want to hear that song Smokin' Walter, the fire engine guy."

How about "Smoke on the Water, fire in the sky?"

Been watching the braves on TV since I was 3.
Never understood why the singer at the end of the national anthem would always say and the home of the braves even when the braves were playing on the road.

how come the singer would not say and the home of the dodgers or mets when we were in la or ny

When I was younger, during football games, the commentator would mention that a player was a pro-bowler, and I would think to
myself, "that's an interesting two sport combo, football and bowling."
