Wisconsin got screwed big time. Didn't effect the spread at all, but I couldn't believe it. Not sure if what the Wisconsin QB did was a fumble or not and didn't see a replay...but why didn't wisconsin just kick the f'n field goal with 13 seconds left. Stupid

Since when is putting the ball on the ground giving yourself up? Take a knee dumbs and then hand the ball to the ref to reset.. Should have been ASU ball.

He did take a knee and the refs blew it dead. Why the one referee allowed ASU to lay on the ball when every other official had moved back to their positions is a question only that guy knows the answer to.

Watch the replay, his knee hits the ground after he runs into #79 and he puts the ball on the ground so the refs could set the ball ASAP. If it was a fumble the clock would have stopped and it would have been ASU's ball but obviously the refs allowed Wiscy to attempt to hike it again so they did not think it was a fumble. Maybe the refs were on the ASU moneyline but you cannot allow a defender to just lay on the ball as the clock runs for no apparent reason. The ref can stop the clock if they think the defender is intentionally stopping the clock or call a penalty for delay a game. The ref just taps the 300 LB lineman on the shoulder and waits knowing there is less than 20 seconds in the game. Horrible job on the refs part especially the umpire who was gingerly walking towards the ball.

After the screw job we got from their refs in 2010 at their place, karma came around and returned the favor..I was at the game and it looked like the QB for Wisc just put the ball on the ground without knee touching, besides, their TE stepped out of bounds at least twice on the run with the pass on the way down there..The best team ended up winning and now they know how we felt after the homer dscrew job we got there in 2010

Wisconsin got screwed by the ref not stopping the clock or penalizing the defender laying
On the ground but they were also stupid for running the ball
With no timeouts left and very little time on the clock.

If its that hard for you to kneel the ball, you don't deserve to win.

On a play where they literally had to do nothing, they couldn't do it.

Don't get why everyone keeps saying wi was stupid for running a play? If the Qb centers the ball in middle of field and just takes a knee instead of just sitting ball on ground there is 13 seconds on clock. Problem is know one knew what he was doing and this led to confusion and refs were total idiots not knowing what to do so they did nothing.

17 sec is standard for getting field goal team on field and set up and snapping ball to holder; shoulda took the bad angle; and not had time constraints; WHEN playing on the road...>>jmho

I didn't understand why they were more concerned with centering the ball, than with getting a kick off on time. Stupid play by Wisconsin, and inexusable actions by the officials. ASU benefitted by both mistakes and won. We'll never know if the refs cost Wisc the game, but they certainly cost them the chance of winning.

As a referee-I have 2 issues 1-if it was a fumble-clock should have stopped and it would have been ASU ball. If it was not a fumble and was a knee then the clock should have been stopped when ASU was n the ball and didn't get up. The umpire was holding up his hand to telling Wisky not to get on the ball-what????? Replay should have been taken to see IF the QB did take a knee and if it was a fumble.

I didnt see the end of the game, but it really sounds crazy and a mistake on wisconsins part to begin with as well as the refs.

In a situation like this, the NCAA or replay needs to have the power to overturn the refs action and allow the kick after time expired.

In a day where we can watch 10 angles of every play, that can not happen.

I'm sure the NCAA is going to come out and say the officials screwed up. They should of either stopped the clock or made the ASU players move.

Go back and watch it on the YouTubes. QB doesn't take a knee. He buckles after running in to his own player, but knee never hits the ground.. WI deserved to lose. Worst coaching decision than the Coaching bungle at Michigan earlier in the day..

If that is the case, then a fumble should have been ruled and ASU should have been forced to take a knee. Either way refs got it wrong.
