The Florida Times-Union reports the Jaguars are "optimistic" Maurice Jones-Drew (ankle) will play Sunday against the Seahawks.

Jones-Drew has a left ankle "strain" and will likely be limited in practice this week. The full extent of the injury isn't yet known, so he should continue to be viewed as day-to-day for now. If Jones-Drew is held out, the Jaguars will go with a committee of Jordan Todman and Justin Forsett.

Jaguars declared Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) and Cecil Shorts (groin) inactive for Sunday's Week 15 game against the Bills.
Jones-Drew pulled his hamstring during the Week 14 Thursday night win and was unable to get any practice time in during the week. Given the tricky nature of hamstring injuries, we can't guarantee he'll be back for Week 16. It leaves speedy backup Jordan Todman as the starter and likely every-down back against a Bills run defense ranked 26th in the league. He's a low-end RB2 candidate. The rest of the Jaguars inactives: QB Ricky Stanzi, S Jonathan Cyprien, G Will Rackley, TE Allen Reisner and DL Brandon Deaderick.
