you were dead on with perez, worst closer in mlb but dead wrong on Jimenez.. in the last 3 months going into tonight he has had 11 starts and given up only 24 runs .. not bad work for 3 months worth of starts. he has been their ace the second half and I would think those numbers would put him high up compared to all other mlb pitchers over the same time frame.. but it was definitely worth the play at those odds with perez in the BP.. its a wonder they have gone as far as they have with him.. he is a bum, cant understand how they keep throwing him out there, its not a mental thing he just sucks.. most of their wins seems to be by a run or 2 so +1.5 but be worth the risk to
Watched Jimenez pitch here for several years. Tossed the only no-hitter in Rockies history. That being said he will never be one of the great pitchers in baseball. Much of the time he has really good stuff but he has absolutely no killer instinct. He has never been the guy who would put his foot on the throat of the opposition once he has them down. He has pitched really well for the last six weeks but be careful when he gets a start in the playoffs as I don't think he will win a game.
