i think the patriots could end up in the top5 they play some good offensive teams (they play the nfc south) but they have a handful of really weak offensive teams on their schedule and their defense is much improved this year and i think will only get better as the year goes on.

Kansas City, even though same division as Denver.

Could see moe shootouts later in the tear in NFC South

1-2-4 have legit defenses .... pats and the saints are living off level of offensive competition and an extra home game. As bad as the Steelers are they'd be top 5 if they faced rookie, rookie, tampa junk b2b2b to start the year. Look up the term regression in a 'pedia and it shows a picture of the 2013 Pats defense

Pats were ranked 9th last year for pts allowed. They are better this year.
Only play two teams that scare you offensively (Denver and NO) so they will be there in the end.

They're front 7 is really good and they're back 4/5 are coming into their own nicely.

probably would reserve pats defensive prowess until at least monday. like i said....rookie, rookie, qb that just got yanked for a rookie....don't get a whole lot more sweet than that start. a check back on 10/14 after Ryan-Dalton-Brees will be warranted
