Was this place the worse choice for Winter Olympics in recent memory. There was an article posted online by Yahoo "Will they be ready" with some accompanying photos. Naturally they are scrambling to get done. The biggest problem with Sochi is the weather. They can have warm Winters with little or no snow. Remember the great shots from Innsbruck Austria from the 76 Olympics with snow falling as the Downhill skiers were doing their runs. You should never choose a Winter site where there is a strong possibility of warm weather. They can create snow on the mountains but it is not the same. Their average high in February is 50 degrees F or 10 degrees Celsius. It's going to be colder at the Super Bowl in New York than the Winter Olympics.
