players who hit .280ish and hit about 25 HRs a year get about that much.. I know it sounds like too much but thats the market nowadays.

I think there are better ways to spend the money. I don't think Pence is worth it, I'd let him walk. But maybe no FA interest them, maybe they like what he does in the clubhouse.. Who knows?
