I can't pick totals to save my life, I'd get every game wrong (and if I fade myself, I'd still get it wrong). Hence I never ever play totals (once a year a might play an over on a baseball game. Hot bats, mediocre straight ball pitcher, something like that.

Damn good topic Mr. B..........especially for the young guys starting out who think sides are the only way to go. Totals are easier to win and I base that on limits Books will allow on totals vs sides. My local (16 years) will allow a max of $1500 on totals and $3000 on sides. They hate bettors on the total side for various reasons.....
Would be worth while for the starting bettor or even a veteran to take a hard look at total betting.
