But then they stopped and both cut his workload...Guessed they thought he was going to break.

Hopefully for Detroit's sake they learned from those 2 teams' mistakes and don't let up...

How Chop?

I can see your Saints cutting his workload because of other talent but I never agreed with it.

If you remember he was rolling with Miami until they cut him back too.

Will Detroit do the same?

Saints never intentionally cut his workload.
I think he lead the NFL in touches as a rookie and was well on his way to doing the same thing his 2nd year until he got hurt.

After year 2 he became very injury prone.

Bush better running back, Sproles much better receiver.

Sproles never gets hurt either.

Sproles has far outperformed reggie and its not close.
If Payton would have had him since he was a rookie he would be headed to the HOF.
I love Reggie and im glad he is doing great but Sproles fits this offense to a T.

Bush has already missed a game because of his knee. Perhaps those teams knew something.

Chop- Bush has had a better year than Sproles, even with missing a game.

Saints would be much better off if they had Bush right now. He would be the best every down back on the team. He could run up the gut as good or better than Ingram, he's better on screens than Pierre and hes just as good if not a better receiver than all 3 of them put together. They got rid of him cus he was going to get a big contract that they didnt want to match...but i think ill go compare what they've payed to Ingram compared to what Bush made the last 3 years and see what the right move turned out to be. I dont think the Saints saved nearly enough to call that a good deal.
The truth is they dont think they need a "featured" back. They think any ol body back there is fine and in the next 2 weeks they are going to find out how wrong they are. When the offense goes 3 and out a few back to back times and the Defense is on the field for large portions of a quarter like last year its going to get ugly. If Chicago doesnt do it the Patriots damn surely will.

I can see a little bigger role for P Thomas this week, coming home. He's from Chicago and went to Illinois. I'm sure he's motivated this week.

have to use Bush sparingly, using him too much will result in inj. Just like Amendola. Tons of skill but durability is lower than others
