ESPN's Paul Gutierrez is the latest to suggest Darren McFadden (hamstring) won't play until after the Week 7 bye.

Virtually every reporter covering the Raiders expects McFadden to sit out Sunday night's game against the Chargers and also the Week 6 game at Kansas City. That would give his hamstring a full month of healing before the Week 8 game against the Steelers. "I think (sitting out is) going to help me out a whole lot," McFadden said Friday. "Just walking around and stuff you can feel it a little bit. It's tight, sore, so hamstrings are one of those things you want to be careful with. I'd rather miss one or two games than to come back and pop it and miss four or five." Rashad Jennings will fill in as candidate for 15 touches.

Darren McFadden (hamstring) is practicing Wednesday.
McFadden participated in individual drills and will likely be listed as "limited." While it's good news that McFadden was able to practice, it's still possible he'll be held out until after the Raiders Week 7 bye. Rashad Jennings also returned to practice Wednesday after exiting Week 5 with a hamstring injury.

Darren McFadden (hamstring) remained out of practice Thursday.
Everybody's favorite injury-prone, would-be RB2 isn't going to be active for Week 10. Rashad Jennings will get the start against the Giants, and is a plug-and-play FLEX option.

We've got a typical DMC-injury situation on our hands. The slow-healing free agent to be won't suit up for Sunday's game against the Texans, and is week to week.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen "isn't sure" how far along Darren McFadden (hamstring) is in his rehab.
It's a combination of mindless coachspeak and the Raiders' increasing ambivalence with regards to their "No. 1" running back. Allen said McFadden's status will be updated Wednesday, but it appears very likely that Rashad Jennings will be in for another start in Week 12. Owners are advised to hold onto DMC in fantasy leagues, but if you're really hurting for a roster spot, dropping him is a calculated risk not terribly likely to backfire.
