This will likely be the largest point spread in NFL history. I can't see the line being anything less than Denver -28

Thoughts?

According to The Gold Sheet, Denver -28 over Jax ties highest spread ever. Previously done by Baltimore over expansion Falcons in 1966.

Denver-Jacksonville spread is biggest in NFL history
[h=4]by Chris Chase, USA TODAY Sports[/h]

The Denver Broncos opened as 28-point favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars for next Sunday’s matchup, a spread believed to be the highest in NFL history.
Various sports books, including the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, set the opening line at four touchdowns. Even if the spread gets bet down before next Sunday, it should still go in the books as the biggest ever.
#Broncos -28 hosting #Jags next week (biggest favorite ever!). Prior biggest: Steelers -26 hosting Bucs (12/5/1976)
— RJ Bell (@RJinVegas) October 7, 2013
As we mentioned last week, there’s some debate about which spread is the current record holder. Due to variances in odds across various books, there’s no official mark. But, depending on who you ask, the unofficial record is either 23.5 (49ers over Bengals in 1993; Patriots over Eagles in 2007) or 24 (Steelers over Bucs in 1976) or even 26 (as Vegas insider RJ Bell references in the above tweet). Denver-Jacksonville should easily clear that.
Denver is 5-0 and has scored the most points in NFL history through five games, a total that includes a whopping 103 in the previous two games. The Jaguars are winless in 2013 and are threatening to become just the second team to finish with an 0-16 record.
Jacksonville failed to cover a season-high 19.5-point spread earlier this year against Seattle. On Sunday, the Jags were 12.5-point underdogs to the Rams and lost the game by 14.

I would feel more comfortable with -6.5

Maybe both? I play a couple of these for fun every week, 15 teamers, one all sides, one all totals, just to see the one game that's gonna screw me. This week it was NE-Cinn staying under 23, and Hous not covering 27.5. I cannot resist +49 in an NFL game.

Don't know why books open it anything under 28.. Nobody will bet Jax on the opener, line will only go up.

I'll use Denver in a 10 point teaser and bet them at -28. This one will be super ugly. I'd be surprised to see Jacksonville score more than 17 points and I am giving them 7 more due to what I saw Dallas do. I see more of a 56-10 type score.
