Betting aside, what a terrible move. Mattingly is an awful manager... And yes, I know he'll probably win MOY. I live in LA and watch almost every Dodger game, he is bad.

just looked ahead...nlcs starts fri...he trots out grienke fri on more than full rest and kershaw saturday on full rest, and just in case they lose tonight...he still has greinke for game 5 of this series...so ,maybe, not as bad a move as i first thought

I really like the Over 6 in this game now. LAD may easily get that by themselves, but Kershaw throwing on such short rest at such a low number is too good to pass up

Sounds great until Kershaw's shoulder hurts or until they have to throw Ryu game 1 next series if they lose tonight. Either way I don't like the move...

Was anyone lucky enough to be holding an action ticket, before the dodgers decided on Kershaw?

And for Donny Baseball, if the Dodgers win tonight they were supposed to anyway, if not, and they lose game 5 which is very, very possible it will go down as one of the worst managerial moves ever

I'm trying to get more info on how this came about but I think this may be Kershaw telling Donny B that he wants the start. I can't honestly believe this was a straight decision without consulting or being pressed by Kershaw to go. As a Dodger fan, I feel as if its a good and bad decision as they are doing anything and everything to advance and win. On the flip side, the over reaction can't have Nolasco and and the other starters too much confidence as their managers are scratching them off...

Anyway, I had the series bet looking to cash tonight but I'm going heavy on ML And RL as well! Went to last night game and can only imagine the atmosphere tonight. IT WILL BE JUMPIN!!!!

Could not agree more.

I'm a Braves fan. So of course I don't want to see Kershaw.

BUT - I'm also a lifelong ballplayer, and I totally disagree with this move, regardless of result.

Kershaw just threw the 2nd most pitches he's thrown all year - 124 - and now he's going to come back on short rest in a park that the ball flies out of? Tired pitches stay up. Balls that stay up get hit out. Plus, he's already proven he can win in Atlanta. Add that to the fact that LA is facing Garcia...and I just don't get it.

I understand it from the perspective that it aligns his staff for the next series, but could backfire huge.

No way I'd lay -220 on a guy on short rest. But there may be a little value in getting 2:1 on your money with Garcia.

the way Kershaw dominated the Braves I would lean towards Dodgers however short rest scares me a bit so I'm going to pass . Over looks to be the best option in this Game IMO
