I could never hit that homer. Reason being that I knew how to get a bunt down.

Nonetheless... Over the posted total.

URIBE is so fucking clutch, some people just excel on the big stage.

That statement is somewhat enigmatic.

He actually failed miserably at what he was asked to do, which is bunt and move the runner to 3rd. The homer never would've occurred had he been "clutch" when asked to bunt.

Many Braves Backers questioning Fredi Gonzalez decision this morning to let Carpenter pitch the eighth inning with Kimbrel standing by. Why is a four out limit imposed on Kimbrel with the Braves only six outs away from sending the series back to Atlanta?

I'm a braves fan on the east coast who stayed up late last nite to watch. 1) I'm tired as hell today. 2) my stomach still hurts from Uribe's gut punch.

I dont question Fredi not putting Kimbrel in. I dont think Kimbrel has ever had a 6 out save and Carpenter is a good setup man. Carp had to get the 5-6-7 batters out. I think that if Crawford batted in the 8th (leadoff), then Kimbrel would have come in then.

Since Puig was called up in June (just around the same time Hanley came off the DL), i've been watching the dodgers alot. I've bet against them many times. Those bastards in blue keep f'n me!!

you can twist it that way but what "actually" happened was he turned a breaking ball with 2 strikes and won the game for his team.. Thats what "actually" happened.. He was clutch with the WS, Giants and now again with the Dodgers..

Uribe is a guy with a subpar batting average that has huge wiffs (strikeouts) in key situations but also huge hits (homeruns) in those situations. Hes a bboom or bust type player. One thing is for sure he will always swing for the fences and give you his best effort. High motor guy. Always happy and a good clubhouse guy. Hard not to root for him.
