It was an up and down opening round starting hot, losing a few in the middle and ending on a 5-0 run. I had a crazy busy day yesterday and didn't get my post in but won two more plays so let's hope it continues today and throughout the Championship series.

4* LAD No runs -160
4* Bos over 7.5 -120
3* Bos -151

I have to admit I don't like betting the favorites as these are the four best teams and anyone of them can win on any given night. I was going to post the Dodgers but Wacha has been incredible and he will go toe to toe with Kershaw. I won't be surprised by a Cards win.

Meanwhile, Boston will win this series in 6 and they've been pretty hot so I'm riding that train.

MG, I took it to mean LA on the money line so I played that and no runs in the 1st. Also under 3 1/2 for 5 innings.

Wow, I didn't post again yesterday. Played no run first and Boston. Went to bed thinking I lost the Sox play and found out I won two. Should be a great series the rest of the way. I'm 1-2, -19.73 units. On to tonight's NL match up.

As far as scoring in the first inning goes. I think they will tonight but I'm not playing it. St L games have only resulted in one game where they scored a run out of their 7. Meanwhile LA's game are 3-3 with both home games resulting in a score.

I think everything points to St Louis from a pitching standpoint. St L with Wainright is 12-5 on the road with a 3.36 era going over 10 of 16 games, he's 10-2 during the day with a 2.39 era, they are 7-0 his last 7 starts. His only start against LA was a home loss, going 7 innings, 7 hits and 3 runs.

On the other side, LA is 11-5 with Ryu at home. His hm era is 2.61 but 4.65 during day games which the team went 6-5. His hm starts have gone over 6 of 10. His last two hm starts he's lasted 3 and 4 innings and hasn't been sharp.

All of this said, I think LA gets one here so I'm playing 3*'s LAD +108. I'm also playing over 6.5 runs for 3*'s.

I kissed the sister yesterday but not today. My biggest play of the playoffs goes today.

4* no run 1st inning Bos/Det -155

As for the game how can you not like Det? Verlander hasn't given up a run in his last 4 starts spanning 27 innings. Boston isn't exactly pitching a slouch as Lackey was an Ace until recently. However, he hasn't pitched well in the playoffs with era's over 5. I'm not adding a pick here because yoiu never know and I like Boston overall as a team.

7* LAD (don't know my line yet) Lynn pitched on Friday throwing 29 pitches, so essentially three days rest. On the road this year his era is 5.15 versus his home era of 3.07, 2 more runs/game WOW. St L won 3 of his last 10 road starts. And, they are hitting 1.30 something in the series, scoring 4 runs in 3 games and 2 in their last 24 innings. They might also be without Freese which doesn't help.

Nolasco last pitched one inning on Sept 29 anda full start on Sept 25 so he's rested. Who knows how he'll fair as a result but I like the rested arm over the three day rest. He's also 2-0 versus St Lou this year, one with the Dodgers and one with Miami. Since coming from Miami, LA is 11-4 in his starts.

The series will be even after tonight! Dodgers Win!!!

Adding two plays:

3* Det -150 (I just couldn't stay away)
4* NO run 1st inning LAD -155 (I like this more than the first game NO run 1st inning)

Thanks for the detroit/ boston scoreless 1st inning. I crossed my fingers for a bit, but it worked out well. I gotta say, these scoreless 1st innings have been working well the last few series. I think I hit the last 4 or 5. BOL with the rest of the day! Aloha!
