Jerry Jones confirmed Tuesday that DeMarco Murray (knee) is "probably" out for Sunday's game at Philadelphia.
Murray sprained the MCL in his left knee during Sunday night's win over the Redskins. "We'll miss him certainly this coming week and then we'll see from there," Jones said. MCL sprains vary in severity, but they typically cost a player 2-4 weeks. With Lance Dunbar (hamstring) also out, fifth-round rookie Joseph Randle is going to carry the mail against the Eagles in a potential shootout Sunday. Philip Tanner will back him up.

DeMarco Murray (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
Murray said he's preparing as if he's going to play Sunday against the Eagles. That's not expected to happen. Joseph Randle will carry the load this week.

DeMarco Murray - RB - Cowboys
According to FOX's Jay Glazer, DeMarco Murray has a Grade 2 sprain of his MCL.

Murray says he's not in any pain, but the Cowboys are going to exercise caution here. We'd be far more optimistic about his Week 8 status if this were a Grade 1 sprain. Joseph Randle is starting Sunday's Week 7 game at Philly.

Coach Jason Garrett indicated the Cowboys are taking a wait-and-see approach on DeMarco Murray's (MCL sprain) Week 8 availability.
Murray has a Grade 2 MCL sprain, which is typically a multi-week injury. "DeMarco is our starter and has been our starter and will be our starter," Garrett said. "He's played well for us, but we’ve got to get him healthy. We’ll see how he does the next few days. ... We’ll just kind of see what the health is and what the availability is as we go forward to figure out the rotation plan."

Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official website calls DeMarco Murray (knee) a game-time decision for Week 8 against the Lions.
Murray was limited throughout the practice week and is listed as questionable on the injury report. Broaddus says Murray will test his knee out in pregame warm-ups and a decision will then be made. Murray is fully expected to play. But the Cowboys could opt to hold him out and let Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar carry the load after Randle was impressive last week. The Lions and Cowboys kick off at 1 PM ET, so we'll know Murray's official status shortly.

ESPN's Ed Werder confirms DeMarco Murray (knee) is fully expected to start Sunday against the Vikings.
Not a surprise. Murray practiced each day this week and is listed as probable. He has a juicy matchup as an RB2 against a poor Minnesota run defense that's allowing the third-most fantasy points per week to opposing running backs.

DeMarco Murray - RB - Cowboys
DeMarco Murray (knee) is practicing in full this week.

Murray is over his sprained MCL and looked healthy on his ten touches last week. He was criminally underused against the Vikings to the tune of just four carries. Fire Murray up as a borderline RB1 this week against the Saints.
