sounds good but...here's the thing chopper: the entitlement crowd has grown to the point that the water drinkers now outnumber the water carriers. A water drinker's vote counts the same as a water carrier's vote. The water drinker will always vote for the liberal because the liberal will promise him more free water. Most people are not aware that the Senate is illegal under the constitution. It requires that the Senators be chosen by the the states legislatures not by general election. This would eliminate a lot of problems as state legis change quite often. Plus the Senators could be recalled from Wash at anytime meaning they couldnt pull bullshit like McConnell did yesterday when he sold everyone down the river for a $2 billy Dam project or when the 2 senators changed their votes on the AFCA in exchange for multi-million dollar bribes.

I blame the extensive media--FOX, MSNBC etc., for turning govt. into Republican vs. Democrat. Now it's more about beating the other party instead of working toward the common good. It's Packers vs. Bears instead of just one team. Let's do away with the party system, everyone is an independent, and the objective is to get shit done, making this country No. 1, and not to disagree with someone else just because they belong to the other party. Right now parties are the priority for these clowns not the country.

And also there would have been no default. The government takes in about 240 billion a month. Interest on the debt is about 20 billion. That leaves about 220 bilion. If you can't run a country on 220 billion a month there is something astronomically wrong.
