Cards (+1.28) - are you shitting me, how are they underdogs? Boston had two...two miracle grand slams to get here. Oh, yeah BoSox mojo...fuck that! Cards starting pitchers throw strikes, which means the minor league 'make them throw strikes/deep pitch count' shit won't work. (how did the Tigers starters do against Boston?) Also, Cards rotation is set and the guys they run out there for games three and four pitch better at home (check it!). Bullpen, Cards are much better than the Tigers. Easiest wager of 2013. 10.00 to win 12.80. Luck & Laters!

Red Sox win again just like 04' and 07'.

Wouldn't be surprised if they swept again!

I think the goal for ST. Louis should just be to win 1 game this time around :missingte

In the world series the best team does not always win baseball is mainly about streaks ,where as in Hoops and NFL the best teams almost always wins its the spread that gets ya beat. In 1972 or 73 forget which Oakland Beat Cinci which was by far the best team in Baseball and compared to the 26 Yankees because an ave at best 2nd baseman named Gene Tennace a lifetime .240 ish player got hot and hit 4-5 hrs in clutch situations,,,,,,,Thats why the Cards can an may very well lose ,Boston has home field Adv also.

true on the overall season LHP but they sure have been raking it lately vs em

I think its a fluke.. Kershaw was tired that last game prior to that Cards got 2 hits in that game 2, and remember what RYU did?

I expect things to go back to normal, Cards have been doing less vs LHP for the past few years.

Not sure Red Sox have the offensive efficiency in an NL park. St Louis led the league both halves of the break in most, if not all, offensive production categories. They are built to play in an NL park and adding a DH only helps them in Boston.

Boston only has one LHP in starting rotation though?

Bucholz, Dempster, Lackey and Peavy are all R.

Bullpen/closer is R

I've learned my lesson betting on "ace" Asian closers in the playoffs. GL

Red Sox = offensive efficiency

They raked against the NL this year.

They will need to sit either Napoli or Ortiz during games 3 and 4. Thats the only bad part.

Love your confidence. Cards tend to play better as a dog. (See '06 & '11). Boston plays the speed game and loves to swipe bases. That is minimized if not eliminated all together with Yadi. But I'm sure he welomes the challenge. Your sox have a big dilemma when heading to Busch. Big decision on how to get Napoli AND Papi in the lineup. You may as well put a street cone at first base if you plan on playing Ortiz. It'll be just as effective. May the best team win. Prediction, Cards in 6 and we're celebrating our 12th title on your home turf.

Defense not an issue with Ortiz. He has always be a fine fielder. Better than Prince thats for sure.
It sucks that we lose a big bat for sure. But on the plus side we then have a big bat coming off the bench for crunch time.

Going to be a good series. I think having the extra game at home will put us over the top (if it comes to that).

I'm mostly into Red Sox in game 1 and likely game 5.. I'm not making a series wager..

Although if I was inclined to bet the Cards I might wait til game 2 to wager on it or at least save a little cause +120ish could rise up significantly if they lose game 1 which I personally think they will.

Yes, if you want the Cards to win series, wait after game one. Although Wainwright is pitching the first game, I believe Boston will win the first game at home. BOL

Bosox 14-6 vs NL teams this year.

Cards 10-10 vs AL teams this year.

The Red Sox have the best clutch hitter of my lifetime in their lineup.

They have the best closer in the game. And two solid setup guys.

They have speed on the bases.

They play tight defense.

And their batting order takes turns getting clutch hits. 1 through 9 they are solid.

And when in the NL park they have a nice bench for the mgr to play with.

If St Louis can beat all of that, then they will deserve to be World Champs. I don't believe they will.
