UFC Fight Night 30

UFC Fight Night 30 ... I hate underdogs in UFC, why do I like Mark Muñoz so much in this matchup. Phil Davis is a beast and crushed Lyoto Machida, only thing that saved Machida was his kicks . Mark Muñoz has cut weight and has been reborn as a fighter . I do not think Lyoto Machida is a top level fighter any more .

I tend to agree, but Davis didnt destroy machida. It was a controversial, close decision. However, I agree that Munoz is undervalued here. The real issue with machida is that everyone has like 3 hours of tape on the guy now and he's not evolving much. The gameplan to beat him is to not chase and to avoid throwing huge haymakers that he can slip and counter. Clean boxing from the edge, outwork him, and when you get a chance, clinch him up and dirty box. Easier said than done, but I like munoz myself. Good luck. Also, I think this line improves as the week moves on so I'd say to wait.
