Some people.
Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was on the receiving end of one insidious moron’s tweet on Monday. A man, identifying himself as “Andre Raynor,” sent this message to Jacobs, who ended up being inactive for his team’s first win of the season.

“ON LIFE BRANDON IF YOU DON’T RUSH FOR 50 YARDS AND 2 TOUCHDOWNS TONIGHT ITS OVER FOR YOU AND YO FAMILY N—-”.
“FULFIL MY ORDERS STATED IN THE PREVIOUS TWEET OR THAT’S YO LIFE BRUH AND IM NOT PLAYING”.

Jacobs, to his credit, retweeted the two messages and said, “Look at what we deal with …” The keyboard tough guy then responded and seemed to back off his comments:
“BRO RELAX ITS NEVER THAT SERIOUS…” he wrote. “ITS JUST TWITTER MAN. I TRUELY APOLOGIZE I COULD NEVER ACTUALLY DO THAT. RETWEET THIS PLEASE”
“FORGIVE ME MAN ITS NOT EVEN LIKE THAT… REALLY IM TRYNA BE YOUR FRIEND !!”

How lovely! We all could use a friend like that. I’ve said it here before, but I’ll say it again. It’s just football, people. If you’re taking it so seriously that you feel the need to threaten someone’s life, seek immediate help. You need therapy and a solid cocktail of medications.

The matter was referred to NFL security, according to the New York Daily News. I’m sure they will handle this situation in a prompt manner.

Sounds like he had him on his fantasy team and was down 16pts going into Monday night.

That's the problem with all this "social" media bs, make threats you are never ever going to be able to come close to doing. Society today is truly sad.

by Jack Dougherty on May 31, 2021

Tim Tebow is back on an NFL roster after a nine-year hiatus from the league. The former quarterback signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this month to try out as a tight end, and he looks to be in incredible shape for a 33-year-old. But Tebow isn’t the only ex-NFL player who wants to give football another shot.

Brandon Jacobs, the former bulldozer the New York Giants passed off as a running back for eight seasons, has been inspired by Tebow’s return to the league. So inspired, in fact, that he announced his own attempt at a comeback last week on Twitter. And just like Tebow, he won’t be doing so at his old position.

After Tebow signed his contract with the Jaguars, it inspired Jacobs to make an announcement of his own. He wants to return to the NFL, but this time as a defensive end.

“Well since Tebow came back after being off a good bit, I am announcing today that I to will comeback. I will play defensive end for whatever team gives me a chance!!!” Jacobs wrote on Twitter last week.

People laugh at the Tebow comeback, but Tebow has utility.

Great athlete and you can run trick plays with him. 4th and 1 qb sneaks, #3 emergency qb
I assume he can play fullback a little

He can be a holder on kicks, the "wave" guy on punts... both can be source of fakes

Especially if he can punt a little. He could be very valuable.
Inside the 50 on 4th between 2 and say 4 yards to go, if he lines up as qb, can the defense send out a return man? If not
Tebow can just step back and punt
