On another gambling front the market has done extremely well over the last two weeks. As the market began to dip over the shutdown I considered pulling out, To my luck I didn't and when the news of an impending settlement came out as well as the eventual deal the market shot up netting me a 3.7% increase over this short period of time.
3.7% may not sound all that impressive but it would translate to 96% over a year. I know certain holdings can or may have done as well in short spans but this is an entire portfolio.
