During in game betting me and couple of friends are in constant contact during the game talking on phone texting. We all partake in the ingame live wagering and we all have completely different books that we play at. I have directtv one friend has dish network and another has basic cable. Couple nights ago Buddy A says there must be an out made. Sure enough its a pop up and an out. Okay i get that there is a delay from satelite dish versus cable but few minutes later he says must be a run and sure enough a run is scored. Then he predicts when a hit is made. So I start quizzing him on how far ahead of the game he is of me. And get this, he doesn't know. I say what do u mean u don't know. He says he cant tell how the out was made or how the run was scored. His sports book ingame betting adjusts or shuts down or freezes and locks him out 15 to 30 seconds and makes adjustments before any of us see it on tv. and the book is always ahead of of all of us. We all use different providers. How can this be happening? Are we the tv viewing audience that far behind what the sports books ingame betting gurus see? how can they see it 30-45 seconds faster and lock it or adjust it before we see it?

I know the feed here in Thailand is about 5-10 seconds slower than actual time in the game...

if you have a direct feed (antenna with digital set top box) it is MUCH faster than cable or satellite. they don't see it 30 seconds faster, but they see it 5-10 seconds faster.

do you think someone in the stands with a cell or tablet might have an advantage?

Every game offered for true in-play betting has a person at the game, and the video is at least 5 seconds delayed

I remember a story about a tennis scandal regarding this. I believe a few guys were bringing their tablets into the matches and were able to take advantage of soft lines because they knew about the points live quicker than the live betting format did. Therefore, they could put in a quick bet after a game point, etc. before the lines had a chance to change. Believe this was in Europe and relatively recent.

there is a 5 second delay in the live software to allow lines to be updated. Also the live guys are watching both the game and the lines, and will lock a line if need be.
