Despite everyone wanting them to tank the Sixers look to be a vastly improved team over last year with rookie M C Williams. The Heat might have been playing with a hangover and no Wade but they lost to a Sixers team that coach Brett Brown said had only six NBA players. The Sixers might play themselves out of that top 3 or 4 lottery pick. It's early, only game one but team figures to play even better as they mesh. In Philadelphia we have a tradition of screwing up top picks in draft. Most famous is the year the Eagles won a meaningless game when OJ was the top pick. The second pick was some worthless player who never made a difference.
It was a great first game of the year. But it was most likely the highlight of the season right there in the first game. There is zero percent chance they will be better then last year. MC Williams looked great, but he can't play that good, or course nobody can, not jordan, lebron, etc. Even if MC Williams was a steal in turns into an all star his rookie year this team will no win 25 games. This team is going to be really brutally bad, and I'm a Philly fan. Don't let one game fool you the way the Eagles 1st half against Washington fooled everyone this year.
If you have the under ticket I think it's now safe to say that you have less than a 1% of cashing. This is probably one of the most amazing three game stretches in the last twenty seasons. You knock off the Heat and Bulls when your picked to be the worst team in the league. Underdogs of 8.5 pts or more in the last three.
Better hold those tickets again.

This team has only two legitimate NBA players, Carter-Williams and Thadeous Young and Williams hit the rookie wall over a month ago. Maybe Wroten will have a decent career, the rest of the team are D-leaguers and 12th man types.
They need to win just two games with 24 games left, seems like they should get it done but it doesn't look like a sure thing anymore.
