100k should last you almost 3 or 4 years Raoul, with 2k a month (24k a year) you should be able to live a decent partying life or am I lost here?
But yeah, forget about getting any jobs here unless you know someone in the industry, so you have 1 or 2 years to go downtown and befriend some bookie.
WOW!! Thanks to all who responded...I am not the guy who had the issue with being up $100 K etc...I probably should have been more specific...its not that CR was the area the I was CHOOSING to go to...what Im trying to do is go to the BEST offshore area, that has a Sportsbook, get a job with them, and it would have a great city to live in for myself, spouse, and one young child (age 4)??? Anyone have any ideas on that? Sorry for not being more specific the other day, but this has always been a dream to do this!!
Hey mate, seriously, if you don't know someone connected no way you can make it with a wife and a child, not here in CR at least, Panama is not that different. Costs with supporting your family might go up to $3k a month and starting salary here for you will be $1000 a month, if lucky enough to find someone that hires w/o papers, which is very rare nowdays. The move you want to make is not right for someone who has a family depending on him, if you were a single guy I'd say to you try, but wife and kid in the middle, not worth it.
Yeah, those days are long gone. Either you are in or you are out at this point. Or you can bring something to the table. Development/Playerbook. And even then. I had to leave cuz all I could find were $800 to maybe $1200 a month. Fucking miss CR but with the rise in cost of living. Good luck bro.
