Rodgers injury spells bad news for Green Bay

If Rodgers is gone for what would be a minimum of three weeks their chances of making the playoffs are significantly reduced. Detroit and Chicago can both pass Green Bay in the standings. San Francisco takes one of the Wild Cards that leaves Carolina, Detroit, Chicago all fighting it out for second position. Whoever doesn't win the division in the North has big competition for that second spot. Panthers are playing good football, good enough to even pass New Orleans for first place. Rodgers injury couldn't come at a worse time. Eagles are licking their chops right now knowing they have a chance against Matt Flynn or Seneca Wallace this Sunday. Rodgers was making the Pack already suffering from injuries play at a higher level. He's like Brady making average offensive talent better than it is. The back-ups can't do that.

Farve would have played with a fractured collarbone. He might not have been effective but he would have played. It just goes to show how astounding his continuous starting streak was. He showed up week in and week out no matter how many injuries he had.

I was thinking same thing what timing Flynn gets cut by Buffalo and Rodgers goes down , seems like a lock to sign back in GB now.

I thought the same thing but then I read an article about it which basically said they didn't feel he had anything left in his arm and that was why they didnt sign him when the Raiders released him in October. Still makes sense as an add even if behind Wallace because he does know the playbook and Wallace is no spring chicken himself.

This could be really bad news and dejavu. Wasn't it a shoulder injury that got Favre addicted to vicodin ? I hope Rodgers doesnt become a pill popper.

Yeah the drop off is huge! Seneca is only 6-15 as a starter! They will have to rely on Eddie lacy more and more! Thankfully Lacy is on my fantasy!

Believe me Wallace didnt go thru 3 teams this offseason cus of his looks. He's horrible and well past his prime. If they let him start 1 game they'll bring in every live arm in the country the next day.
