what is the advantage of having a tablet

well as BETALL knows im not very electronic's savy but what does a tablet do for you as compared to say your laptop.does it surf the internet and what else does it do.

Key it's mainly much less bulky and more convenient/comfortable in using and taking places with you...

HACHE,does it act like a computer and are places like here and elsewhere able to have access to

If you mean can you access internet just as you can on a computer, yes you can key.

They also have built in wifi in which you can pick up internet anywhere a signal is available away from home.

A tablet doesn't have a disc though in which you can install software, etc...

I have never really understood the need for a tablet. If I am home or at work I would prefer a laptop and if I'm on the go I can do anything I need to on my phone...

harry,its just not the same on the phone,and with a little bigger screen it makes life easier

Some decent tablets out now for as little as $300.00 with 10 inch screens.Id go with the WIFI and 3G-4G combo,WIFI-home,3G-4G-for on the road.Great for getaways when you dont want to carry a laptop around.....Id wait for Black Friday to make a purchase,Im sure their will be some sweet deals on tablets by retailers that day.

yea that all sounds good joe,i don't want to carry a laptop when im in vegas and the black friday thing sounds good,cause im going to be asking for it as a x-mas gift,lol...

Use the IPAD or MINI as a phone and kill two birds with one stone, all for $30 a month.

same here. that's why a light ultrabook is the perfect solution for everything. for anyone who does even a moderate amount of typing, word processing, spreadsheets, or photo work, a tablet won't cut it.
