Report: Chiefs' Bowe to play Sunday

Dwayne Bowe was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession and speeding.

[h=3]KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)[/h] A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe will play Sunday night against Denver after his arrest for speeding and possession of marijuana over the weekend.

The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Wednesday because he was not authorized to discuss the situation. Chiefs coach Andy Reid is expected to address Bowe's status for the key AFC West showdown after the team's morning walk-through.

Bowe was pulled over for speeding Sunday in the Kansas City suburb of Riverside. Police said an officer smelled ''a strong odor of marijuana from inside of the vehicle.'' He was cited for speeding and possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Bowe posted $750 bond and faces a Dec. 18 court appearance.

could you believe the cop pulled him over for going like 12 mpr over the speed limit,sounds like targeting to me,i mean whay kind of cop this day and age pulls people over for just that.....there's drug dealers and shootings to worry about that is more serious....really a joke

Its been reported that they cannot suspend him due to the CBA and have to wait until his hearing is done

The guy was breaking the law. Don't make excuses for him because you're a Chief's fan.

If I were a Chiefs fan I'd be more worried they paid a guy 8-9M (something like that right) who can't make plays anymore...
