local coyotes tussled with a big husky right by my house saturday....husky was bleeding pretty good from the hip and wouldnt let any of us near him...i guess the husky and another dog were loose in someone elses back yard, out comes coyote, dogs start chasing, then the yote pack starts chasing the dog and does some damage...eventually found the owner and showed him where the dog ran off too...it is so dry here in LA they are coming down from the hills more and more for water/food...i see them almost daily and they used to book when I took a couple quick steps towards them...now they just slowly jog away occasionally looking back unless I get close....my pit mix wants to fight them so bad, he was howling when the husky/yote battle was going down (which is why I went to see what was up)....freaking yote's

I have a Frenchie. I usually let him out without a leash, not not no more. He loves to scrap. lol. Playful, but aggressive. He would definitely take off after one if he seen it. I have seen them around, so I am not risking it.

He was attached by a German Shepard at a dog park once. Shepard picked him up by the back of his neck and was thrashing him back and forth. He was still trying to fight. HA.. I couldn't pull the shepard off him. Finally, the park blew the air horn and he released him, after he did, my Frenchie went after him for more, after getting his ass kicked. LOL

yeah, my guy can handle his own, but he would get worked by coyotes...he snapped a leash going after two of them once, but I had a shock collar on him as well which eventually helped my get him back before he got too far into the brush (where he likely wouldve been jumped by the pack)...i let my other dog off leash every now and then, but he stays close, is not aggressive and always comes when calls (pointer/lab mix, would be a great hunting/water dog).

Yea, I remember a post where you said he snapped the leash. I see so many pit mixes in cages on the sides of houses. Why have a dog?

thanks...yeah, they are mostly pretty small...but they are cunning and fight/hunt for a living....many stories in the neighborhood of them using a yote in heat to lead dogs back to the pack to get jumped, killed and grubbed....can't tell you how many missing cat signs you see walking up my street on a given day!

I wish we'd get a few more yotes in our neighborhood. Damn stray cats every where. There is a lady down 3 houses that feeds all the strays, and all they do is reproduce. One just had another litter

a lot of people like the idea of having a "tough dog" but dont have the patience/experience to train/exercise them properly. this dude was a rescue, presumably from someone else that couldn't handle him and turned him loose....i didn't know exactly what I was getting into, but now I cant give him up as he would be put down. he is very obedient around the house and good with my kids which is what is most important....just has an aggressive streak that can't be fully tamed...kicked out of all doggie day cares, broken through glass windows, i kind of have to take him everywhere with me...bastard!

jamba juice earnings call today at 5pm! juice it up!

that should be illegal...some people feed (or leave food intentionally for) the coyotes in the park up here too...terrible idea

you should hear the noises when they nab a cat....crazy

Yea, our dog Bill takes a lot of patience. We got him from a guy in Columbus that couldn't handle him. He was tearing shit up and fighting with his other dog. We had him about 3 months and worked with him, he stopped tearing shit up. Although he did do a number on a couch and some picture frames. lol. True story, no shit.....He went around and pulled every plug out of the wall in out house, but left the plug in for the radio. We leave it on for him during the times we are not here. But he has settled down the last 4 years. He's a great dog, and I know he would most likely end up in a shelter if he wasn't with us. He doesn't tear anything else up, and is great with my nephews.

Have yet to try Jamba juice, well, take that back. Tried it last year in Aspen, wasn't really impressed. Getting ready to make my fifteen jar, 16oz two day supply in about a hour. Preparing myself for a 3 day in a couple weeks

Glad things worked out with Bill...crazy on the power cords...my dog can open the fridge in the RV somehow...still cant figure out how he can get in there. mine has also settled down a bunch...just have to be on my toes that my kids dont leave a door or gate open...if he gets out, decent probability i end up getting sued

Jamba juice has come along way in last couple months...the freshly blended healthy juices they just introduced are all i get (that and wheatgrass)...they have chia, beets, ginger, kale, etc in them now...just started selling them a few months ago i think...try the veggie harvest if you give it a shot

Not sure if any around Cincinnati. I am about 6 miles from the City, so I am sure there has to be one some where.

They are opening a Juice Bar here in the hip spot of town in about a month. Can't wait to try them out

this was prophetic as I did end up getting sued. But it wasn't because he got out! My parents were in town and left gate unlocked and delivery dudes came in..still pisses me off
