We were together for 7 years....she's now been married to a guy for the past 8 years and had a couple kids along the way....sends me a Facebook request. Have not had any contact with her since we broke up around 9 years ago. Nobody can know what's going on her her head....but thoughts? Could this be a totally innocent thing?

I realize asking the question on a gambling forum may not produce the best results, but let's see where we get. I usually have a clear confident read on pretty much everything that goes on around me but something is off here.

Need a photo. If she is a fat chubby housewife she is most likely bored.

This is 75% of what Facebook is all about, and why my last girlfriend and I agreed not to have it when we were together.

If her current husband sees it, I'm sure he will question her about it.

But the odds are he either isn't aware she has facebook, or up with the times on what it is all about or how to even check it.

I know 4 guys who lost their wives to other men on Facebook (After I warned 3 of them), and there's no question it has probably broken up tens of thousands of others...

This is the red flag for me. And he does have FB.

I mean this may all be nothing but innocent fun, but something seems off here.

Well you would be surprised by how many instances there are of:

1. The female has facebook but her man doesn't, and may not even know she has it.
2. The both have facebook, but she has his login/password, but he doesn't have hers.

Obviously he's a fool if he has facebook as well and doesn't have her on his own page and/or can't monitor her.

Does he know about you being a past boyfriend?

Either way, he should be asking her who this guy is she added...

After that length of time it's probably just innocent curiosity. Maybe not though, you would have the best read on the situation.

If it feels off to you just decline it and move on. I wouldn't want to be that guy.

He knows about me as well as has her on his Facebook page. On his page it says he's married to her and on hers it says nothing. I haven't confirmed the request as of yet.

I've been married 10 years. I've been with at least 20 of my FB friends before we were married, probably the same for my wife. It's no big thing. Most of these people are married as well.

She's prolly just saying look at me look at me and my nice little life and family.

You could be right 5teamer...may just be all innocent. Just seems like something else to me, we're from small towns of around 1,000 people 5 miles apart. And there has been no contact at all in 9 years. We were really good together and the sex was the best I've ever had, but she wanted to get married at the time and I wanted to party, so it was a mutual break-up...8 or 9 months after that she called me and said she was getting married. I laughed and that was the last I've heard.

No offense 5teamer but I disagree 100%.

No reason & no excuse for one of the two people who are together in a relationship to bring their past back into the picture in any way, shape, or form, unless it involves kids.

Especially these days...

I accepted the request, we'll see what comes of it. I do have some free time after work tomorrow night if she wants to get it on. JK. I think?

I be friended every girl on Facebook that I took their virginity. You want to talk about awkward emails. I. Have a handful, of ex GF and I don't think that big of deal. If you start IM them then that will lead to issues. I had a. One college gf and after college gf that starting IM me so I de friended them. It is much cheaper to keep my wife.
