Is College Basketball ruining the game with the new rules??

I love college sports and the intensity of the games... but college basketball is almost becoming unbearable to watch. Defenders have no chance at playing defense. Any contact now is a foul. All players have to do is take it hard to the basket and a foul is called. In todays Georgetown/VCU game there were 61 fouls called... and 84 free throws taken. 84 fucking free throws. That's unreal. UNC/Louisville, 63 free throws. Aggressive defenses have no chance these days. Every game I watch it is just nonstop fouls. They are completely ruining the game.

Not to mention the Gtown VCU game took 2 hours and 50 minutes. You can all thank Jay Bilas and ESPN for the rule changes. Bilas was no stop about this rule change.

College asked for higher scores. Referees are given points of emphasis each season. If they ignore them then they will not get the premo assignments or more games. Handchecks/two hands/disrupting the handler were points and are thus getting called.

It is going to end up better for the game. At some point the players are going to adjust and we are not going to see these plodders grabbing athletes and the game will open up. It is going to allow stars to get to the rim and guys that shouldn't be shooting 3's won't be taking as many. The game will improve because the players will adjust.

Nothing ruined the game more than making kids go for one year then turning pro. These kids go for a semester, quit, and finish the season. Ask the Cavs how they like their #1. They are paying big-boy money for a project.
