I just used Bovada for the first time yesterday. I had Jacksonville ML +$350. I deposited $250 and wagered $100. When I clicked on the redeem bonus ($125) instructions came up and I thought I was suppose to add the bonus to my bet so I changed it to $225. I clicked on REDEEM BONUS and it confirmed the bet however my balance dropped to $25. I obviously didn't get the bonus. My account balance after winning shows $1037.50. Which is correct for the $225. I guess I'm out of luck as far as getting that $125 x $350 added to my account.
I did try to do the above process in less than 30 min and I've since found something stating bonuses may not be available until 30 min after deposit. As I said there was a yellow box that said REDEEM BONUS. Could the 30 min thing have been a problem?

If I'm out of luck on yesterday what is the policy on using the bonus? Can I just bet the $125 on say Wash ML tonight or can it only be used to supplement a personal wager? I tried to put it in using the REDEEM BONUS button but I'm afraid that if I hit PLACE BET that it will come out of my account again.

I really don't understand how players feel good about his stuff. Perhaps Bovada terms are worse than other sites but when I see 4.9% fees to make deposits I don't get how that is ignored by players. I guess I could live with only one withdraw a month but what's with the fee if you want more?

With my local we let the balance float settling when it gets plus or minus 2K. I'm on average a 100-300 player so we can go weeks without settling. I wouldn't enjoy pay up front. It's like you lost before you even begin.
