It would be an Absolute Shame if the National Championship was Represented by the ACC/Big Ten

No offense to the ACC and Big Ten fans, but this would be a travesty for the game if the winner of these two conferences played for the national championship. These are two incredibly bad conferences. The winner of the SEC should be represented in the national championship regardless of having a loss. Those schedules they had were brutal. And I know FSU can't help the fact that Florida this year was about the level of talent as an FCS school, but still. FSU beat an overrated Clemson team who beat up on the same crappy ACC teams. South Carolina just exposed Clemson for the frauds they were. Between FSU and Clemson, other than their own game... neither team played a current top 25 team in the nation.

After Wisconsin was exposed this week, Ohio St has not played a single team in the top 20 that will finish the year in the top 20. Can anyone possibly say that Ohio St is better than Alabama? Absolutely not.

FSU has a much better case because they have handled business convincingly and deserve it even though they have had a cupcake schedule. Ohio St has looked mediocre and like Notre Dame looked last year against a very bad schedule. Getting scorched by Michigans offense today was bad. Almost losing to the one conference win Northwestern was bad. If you want to be in the NC with a weak schedule you should handle business and show that you are much better than your opponents.

Anyways, rant over... I just think it would be a travesty and a disgrace to the game if these two conferences were battling for the national championship.

You keep talking about the past. I'm not talking about the past. I'm talking about this year.

You do know that Mizzou won the SEC east this year, right?

Yes, I do know that. They are a really good team this year. Much better than OSU. Barring a ridiculous let up in the 4th quarter against another top 10 team, they would have jumped OSU. It's tough playing good teams and remaining undefeated. Much better being in the big 10. Weren't you the one last year who was trying to bet me couple thousand dollars that Alabama would not beat Notre Dame by 21+. I should have taken that bet, lol.

Damm.
Can you find the link for that?
Only a dipshit would offer a bet like that.

I have no problem with that for a national championship game. The SEC is damn good, no doubt, but this idea that everyone else should just bow down and kiss their jockstraps is BEYOND FUCKING RIDICULOUS! Fuck the SEC...nobody went undefeated? You don't get in the game! Tough Shit!

And everyone who whines about it can just STFU and wait till next year. puff_>>

He was the dipshit that offered the bet. He PMed me to void it. He stated he was drunk.

Lol, you are the one who offered the bet 3 to 1. And I said in the PM that if you wanted to keep it I would honor it but I would prefer not to make the bet with a stranger on the Internet. You agreed. Not really a big deal.

The National Championship should be a battle between the two best teams, not a battle between the two teams who got luckiest not having to play any good teams. At least Florida St handled business. Not a single person in the country would honestly say that OSU is one of the two best teams. There's still a chance the winner of the SEC passes OSU. I hope that happens.

I will agree with you that no way Ohio is the 2nd best team in the country but lets also not act like all these good sec teams play each other cause they dont. You know how many current top 25 teams Auburn has beaten this year. 2. bama and #24 texas am. thats it. Missouri has beaten #24 texas am and thats it. Hell Mizz schedule is no better then Ohio's. Most of the top teams have played and beaten maybe 2 ranked opponents.

Oh and on another note isn't the ACC like 5-3 against the SEC this year? Vandy was lucky to beat a very bad wake forest team this weekend. Clemson beat Georgia when UGA was 100% healthy. Miami and FSU both beat Florida and FSU beat them worse then any SEC team did.

Everyone knows the OSU would have 3 losses at a minimum playing in the SEC - if this went by strict power ratings it would be Bama and FSU - hopefully OSU loses or we could see another Bama/ND blowout game - with that said, most understand the Big 10 is a soft conference but OSU did beat Miami when the Caines were represented by 30% of the first round draft so I will defer to OSU somewhat in football and MSU in hoops
