okay lets hear some views on this kid.we know he is a winner,he is a smart QB,controls a game great, never panic's,don't make mistakes, and is a leader.so what is his future, does he make the nfl, meaning does he get drafted? he is not one of those QB's that has multiple traits at the position so i ask, does he have the arm,the interest of nfl scouts,or does he not make it to the nfl level.

the nfl has gone in such different directions for QB's in the nfl so im not sure he is going to get a fair shake and get considered for QB.there are some guys out there playing the position that i believe he can play better than and its all due to him being smart at decision making.ive never started a topic like this about another alabama QB but i believe this kid needs to get serious consideration by the nfl scouts and get a chance to play in the nfl.

so lets hear some thoughts from the minds here on the forum,....there are a lot of people here with good sense so i believe in getting some good views posted here

He's a gamer.
He's a baller.
He will get an opportunity with some team.
If the NFL doesn't work out down the road, he's got that dame to fall back on...she's got T&A power...be her agent.

He's a very good and smart qb , can read defenses and understands the game , and is very good with the verticle downfield pass.

The key to his nfl success or lack of will be getting in the right system. ...Even though Bama is considered a "pro style" offense , they use the tight end (as recievers) more than some nfl teams do.

Tom Brady or bust ... who knows?

Good or great college Qb because he fits Al style. Don't see the arm strength or pocket awareness to play in the NFL. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I think his arm strength is fine (has a perfect spiral ala namath on the deep passes) but i do agree about pocket awareness thats a big concearn , he's been more "panicky" this year without barret jones and dj fluker on the ol. ... and he's not afleet afoot , needs protection.

He looks like a young Peyton Manning, and has the potential to be as good.

he's projected into the 4th or 5th round, but someone might spend a 3rd on him.

He's a great QB... with the right coach and the right system in the NFL he can succeed. Something like Russell Wilson on the Seahawks type match. Otherwise, if he has to be relied upon to throw 300+ yards a game I don't think he has what it takes.

I guess you don't remember last year he's got 3 rings

He does have 3 rings b/c he was on the team in 09 , but he was red-shirted that year so i see what loomis is saying by he won 2 natty's.

When I hear he's a winner, it tells me he is surrounded by NFL-talent. The best thing that could happen to him is get drafted mid round by a team that need him right now, like NE. I think he does gave a chance to make it unless the jets draft him.

How many games have Alabama QBs outside of Joe Namath started in the NFL?

It's got to be over a thousand , i can come up with almost 500 just with bart starr , scott hunter and kenny stabler.

Then add to the mix , Harry Gilmer , Pat Trammell , Steve Sloan , Namatth , the Ruteledge brothers , richard todd , mike shula and Brodie Croyle. ... and back-ups who got spot starts Jay Barker , Greg McElroy and jp wilson.

I'm sure there are a few i'm forgetting and probably some from before the 50's that i dont know about.
