Hammered in Plano... solid sheet of ice glazed over everything... I have a massive limb snapped off a large tree in the backyard - landed right on the fence and took out a nice little section of fencing.

I think you told me you are a in dragon country ( Southlake) a few years back. I saw a car slide off the 121 to 635 bridge by Grapevine Mills Thursday at about 5 oclock. The car slid down the grass hill. That would be scary knowing you are fixin' to die. The car stopped about halfway down the hill. I lost site of what happened next.
Did you have the wreck on one of those new Grapevine bridges ?

I was travelling to The Falls (Wichita) yesterday to beat the ice getting too bad.
Left downtown Dallas while the precip was just around Rhome.
Drove 70 the whole way.
Get to town, and bam.
Slow motion fish tail, drivers side into median/guardrail, airbag to the face, and thought for sure I was about to flip.
I wasn't going that fast, but the downslope helped me pick up speed.
Held up traffic for a bit, but managed to get to the median.
Bent the frame pretty good.
No way I mess with any of those ridiculous overpasses you mentioned. You fly off GBTP, and it's sayonara.
