what would you rather play,2 deck or 6 deck blackjack? ive been playing on a free site trying to keep sharp and ive had better luck with the 6 deck shoe rather than the 3 deck blackjack.i always hated to play more than 2 decks but it seems like i am breaking less with the 6 decks than the 2 decks.

lets hear some opinions on what you rather and why

also does anyone know of a site that you can play blackjack with multiple players or are all the pracitce sites just you against the dealer

You can play live black jack with real dealers at some sites but I think you have to bet real money on those

With the same rules, the more decks, the higher the house edge. But, the difference is miniscule...

Definitely a cool skill to learn but just practically it is tough to get anywhere counting these days from what I understand. Obviously for the pit it is pretty easy to spot a counter based on play but if someone wants to play BJ anyway cause they like the game (table games with -EV don't do much for me) then yeah I'd say give it a shot as it beats just playing the rudimentary way that anyone can learn in 2 mins.

You will last longer playing two decks because you will be shuffling a lot. If you don't have an edge it doesn't matter. Two decks are much easier for me to keep track of.

I actually like 6 decks, BJ one of my fav games to play.

Its easier to go on a run/streak when cards are coming your way. If playing one/two decks, you cant get those runs.

Yes, it can go both ways no doubt, but I also dont sit at the first table I see open. I take my time. Take a shot at an empty table just to get a feel sometimes, lose 3/4 hands in a row, just walk away and find another table.

Key is to keep bets equal until you see the cards turning your way. Ive done this method and won more than I've lost..

Tough to count cards IMO, better off seeing if dealer is pulling and making hands, busting, how are others also getting cards...I look more for patterns. But thats just me.

Lots of misinformation in this post. Cards have no memory, they don't "turn your way." Patterns don't mean anything either. You either count cards,
and bet more when the count is in your favor, or you don't count cards, and you play as perfect basic strategy as you can. Trying to time "streaks"
is futile, as you never know when a so-called streak is ending or beginning.

why??? you get paid 6:5 on 21 and if you have more than three at your table they reshuffle every other hand.

4 aces, if more than one comes out on the first deal, your cycle with that deck is way below advantageous.

Double-deck is where it's at. Table of 2-3 max and you'll get six deals out of that and you can vary your bet based on counting and how many strong cards are left.

Six-deck doesn't exist in Vegas. Only 8-deck. Six-deck is found at the Natives and regional casino spots.

6:5? I don't do that either. In Reno single deck is 3:2 and they only burn one card after the shuffle.

I'm not sure where you are getting your information from, but 6-deck blackjack is everywhere in Vegas.

caesars properties switched to 8 deck awhile ago, but they are adding more side bets and going back to 6 deck because it increases the house advantage

Actually, given the same rules, the more decks, the more house advantage - albeit slight.
