Anybody have a crock pot recipe?

I have only cooked roast and pork chops in it. If anybody has a good recipe they don't mind sharing I would appreciate it. I have some stuff to do tomorrow and figure a crock pot dinner would be the easiest thing to prepare.......thanks men

Chop up a bunch of onions and some garlic and throw them in with some hot sauce and Worcester sauce while you brown chicken.

Then grab a couple large chicken breasts and spice up both sides with pepper, old bay, garlic powder and whatever else you like (chili powder? cayenne?). Throw in hot skillet for 1-2 minutes each side then drop them in the slow cooker.

Grab a jar of Heinz chicken gravy and put half the jar on top of the chicken. Then chop up 2-3 carrots, 2 potatoes, and 2 sweet potatoes and put on top adding in some more hot sauce.

Fill up slow cooker with chicken broth and cover. Cook 6-8 hours on low

Pork butt/shoulder, chicken stock and a 12oz beer, garlic, onions, tons of cumin, some onion powder... 6-8hrs. Shred it. Put it on corn tortillas.

Cool, thanks for the info gentlemen.......this one seems the easiest and I have all the ingredients at home already other than tortillas and pork butt. Ill throw it all in there in the morning

ngredients for Alligator Stew

1/2 cup vegetable oil
2-3 lbs. alligator meat, cut into sm. pieces about 1/2 inch thick
1/2 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
2 tbsp. minced parsley
1 (10 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 sm can of diced green chilies
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat vegetable oil in a stew pot. Lightly brown alligator meat. Add fresh vegetables and canned tomatoes and chilies. Cover, and cook over a medium heat for approximately 35-40 minutes.

This recipe can also be done in a slow cooker. Lightly brown the alligator meat, then add to the slow cooker with all of the ingredients. Add a cup of tomato sauce to the recipe, and make sure that you add all the liquid from the can of diced tomatoes. Cook on low for approximately 6-1/2 to 7 hours. Check halfway through to make sure there is enough liquid in the slow cooker. Add a little more sauce or a little white wine, if needed.

Loomis, that looks good but If I could get my hands on alligator meat, I'd fry it. My buddy shot one in his pond at his ranch in East Texas (Fairfield) a couple years ago. This guy can cook wild game better than anybody I've ever met. He fried it up in a cast iron skillet and it was the best fried food I've ever had
