I am ver sympathetic to the fact that he does not approve. I don't think there are many (any?) dad's that would be thrilled with this. It just is what it is and it works. I am always very cognizant of the fact that she is so young and I want to be sure to do her no harm. I asked her if she wasn't worried about missing out on things by dating such an older man and she said that she felt like she was missing out before we got together, which I thought was sweet.
I am using the 'Campsite' philosophy and want to leave her as good or better as I found her without doing any harm
We know the age difference frowned upon by a lot of people and we're just taking things as they come. I totally understand her family's concern. I have actually known her for two years, we started as FWB and became 'official' about 5 months ago...
I am going to get her dad some spicy olives or something. That should take care of everything (lol).
