Teeth Whitening...

Anyone ever done it?

That was a Christmas present to MrsDefying. So I took her to one of those places in the mall. It was Buy 1 get on free, plus got some extra price breaks...

I was skeptical the entire time...
then boom.

Bright white teeth. Huge difference.

they have mall kiosk all over the country... saw one in denver... this was in Charlotte. Concord Mills Mall...

Negotiate hard with them. they have the power to knock down the price. but it definitely works...

full disclosure I did a little googling before I took the wife.. there is lawsuits against them, but it mostly seems to be a question of whether they are practicing dentistry without a license.

i give the experience a perfect score those.

what are you talking...10 20 30 %....off retail...

just curious..cause I have NEVER been in this situation EVER...

It sounded like a cool X-MAS gift for my Grown Kids...

It was listed at $129 for 15 mins, $189 for 30 Mins, $299 for 45 mins

They had a buy one get one sale....
Then I got the 45 min for the $189 price...
So after taxes paid $200, for both of us... List price was $600

I did the Zoom at the doctors office, it helped a little but I wasn underwhelmed with the results.

And it hurt like a MF for 2 days for me. I have sensitive teeth but holy hell headaches and my teeth ache'd and I think I have a pretty high pain tolerance.

doesnt this ruin your enamel or gums or something? I have no clue but most people caution to teeth whitening so I was interested into the bad reasons why not to do it? :think2:

wow...that doesn't sound good....

was it you gums that hurt or your actual teeth....that gave you the headaches

Actual teeth, gums felt fine and no issues there. Again though this was at a dentist office (I said doctors office above, meant dentist), not a mall.

But maybe the mall has better results?

you could go to a dentist and get veneers for a little more, and they would last longer than the whitening.

i almost did it, but factor in price,and not lasting as long as i expected i chose to do the veneers. Im very happy with the results.

I hear gargling with hydrogen peroxide is the same as buying the white strips and its a one hundreth of the price. never tried it myself.
