No way.

Pay for the membership and get out of the house.

Exactly... If its in the house, you wont use it.

Pay and go to a gym, once your actually paying monthly fee's you feel obligated to use it.

But if you buy a home gym, it will collect dust till you put it on craigslist or try and sell it at a yard sale.

And, you can look at some tang while you're at the gym. That's a motivator.

Depends if you get it off the infomercial at 220 or ebay at 210 :ohno:

As just a piece of exercise equipment why not

Of course the gym would be like a free .5 as you could middle the losing weight and building muscle aspect of working out

If you use it, sure it's worth it. If you don't, then it's not. You can buy the P90x DVD set but it would be like asking if it works? Of course it does if you follow it and do it.

I've done P90x, Insanity, home weight set but I get the best motivation overall going to the gym (back to being a member about 2 years ago). At home too easy to say fuck it and not finish your workout or do it at all. At the gym there is some peer pressure to actually workout while you are there.

At my gym there are also very few "gym guys" there which helps.

I don't know very many people that consistently use home exercise equiptment (other than a treadmill 3 times per week). I think that some sort of mental laziness sets in when you have it at home.

to get in shape ...............unless round is the shape you want ........

lol, I'm far from Round Buddy

could lose 20lbs. but that's most guys at age over 55

6' 3" 255lbs. and work with free weights 3 times a week. Have no problems with my arms or legs, just have that stomach that needs a workout

I think I'm in good shape for my age. But it's never too late to get into better Shape.

1) get out and see other humans like they said
2) simple exercises ok,but unless you are used to this and know what you are doing, its not hard to get injured or just do the exercises with poor technique

a full home gym is $$$$ specially if it just sits there, buy simple things like a wrist roller for the forearms or push up bars

I have those and use them when I simply feel like doing them , otherwise I just hit the gym one hr or so a day.

yes exactly, i save plenty by not having a gym membership. And you dont even need a full home gym. just 1 or 2 machines and your done. I think gym memberships are money guzzlers and should be avoided.
