Been hearing on my local radio station today that the NFL could possibly move the SB to Saturday or Monday if the weather is going to be bad for Sunday. Can anyone confirm this?

I truly hope this experiment turns out to be a clusterfuck. The SuperBowl is a week long event that ends with a game. This should be done in a warm destination, not cold New Jersey.

NFL should stage this game on Saturday every year.. easier getting home or to work if you have Sunday to travel

Yup, everyone has been saying this for years but people have been brainwashed into thinking Sunday is the only day for it.

Saturday would mean people can party as much as they want and not have to work the next day.

Totally agree with this. Its a thousand times more fun go drink beers and have a good time on Saturday than on Sunday. This has never made sense to me.

Hmm...any given saturday? Nope! Just doesn't have the same ring to it...

Suck it up on Monday boys and stop whining! Superbowl Sunday it is! It's the one Sunday a year that you can't be worried about Monday! Personally I usually take that Monday off every year. What a concept, hey? LMAO

I kind of agree with this. If you really feel the need to party that much for the Super Bowl just take the Monday off from work. The game is over early enough where a person is not up that late for Monday work if you do have to work. It's just one day out of the year so don't see the big deal of having it on Sunday.

I also agree , but what it really comes down to is add revenue for the networks. Sunday is the best night PERIOD. (for ad revenue)

The people who want to watch the Super Bowl are going to watch it no matter when it's played , but the universe of people in front of tv sets is larger on Sunday than Saturday.

...but back to the topic of weather ... i thought they wanted wintery weather.

With the amount of alcohol consumed for the big game, the Super Bowl should always be played on a Saturday night...NASCAR as well, with the number of drunken hillbilly's who follow cars going counter-clockwise(I think) for 4 hours, having races on Saturday nights seem like a no-brainer...that way as well if it rains out Saturday night they could potentially be ran on Sunday....and NOT on a Monday morning at 10am.

long enough wait as it is...1 day sooner , we could all get on with our lives... Fact is, NFL started scheduling playoff games on Saturday night a few years back.. if they weren't generating bigger revenue for those games, they wouldn't play them on Sat prime time.. Sunday might create more ad revenue then Saturday night, but kinda doubt you would see less viewers watching the Super Bowl on Saturday night then Sunday night..... very little difference IMO
