These 4 teams went opposite directions as they were last season.

Were the 2 who went backwards or the 2 who went forward more surprising?

Definitely Atlanta and Houston. Not only because of last year, but they have been getting better every year for awhile and it seemed like this was the year that they were going to dominate. Could not believe how far they fell off the map. I know ATL had some WR injuries, but even with the wrs back they have been a poopsquad.

Houston by far. KC had lots of talent, but was pathetically coached by a clown last year. Andy Reid was a massive improvement and their astounding - TO ratio last year turned around. Carolina showed lots by the end of last season. I thought they'd win the division. Atlanta figured to drop off some in what I thought would be a very strong division. Not nearly this much though, but they were built too much on having great WR's. When Julio went down, so did they. And they've done nothing to fix their horrid D.
Houston is and was a loaded team. But Schaub, who was always at least an adequate QB, just imploded and started throwing Pick 6's with regularity. Although they were regularly outplaying their opponents, they couldn't overcome those pick 6's and other dumb mistakes. They will turn it around next year.

Houston defense was atrocious.

I thought they would have performed a whole lot better than they did.

a lot more surprised by houston than atlanta, falcons have been a finesse team, weak on the line of scrimmage both DL and OL, and it finally bit them

Houston & Atlanta is just baffling, how could they both be that bad?
