It seems as if the average football fan (outside of Dallas) does not like Romo. But the NFL media seem to love him. After the debacle against Green Bay I was reassured by a bunch of talking heads that "Tony Romo is a top 10 quarterback!"

Really? Because if you put Romo above any of these, you need your head examined:

Brady
Brees
P. Manning
Rodgers
Roethlisberger
R. Wilson
Rivers
Luck
Flacco

That's 9. I think you have a strong argument that Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Eli, and Cutler (maybe even Kap) could be in the last spot before Romo.

Anyway, obviously a gritty performance by Romo yesterday.

The likely scenario is that after leading Dallas to that game-winning drive to keep their season alive, he saw Philly put up 50+ on Chicago and wanted no part of it next week and have to deal with the same ol critique if they lose at home in a division-deciding game...

EXTREME overreaction in the line to Rome being out. Went from -2.5, -3, to -7.5(The Teaser protection line) at 5D. Orton is one of the better Backups in the League. Liked Dallas before Romo injury, like them better now with the bonus added points.

mostly because he is a above average NFL QB and consensus opinion is that he sucks
