this guy is wasting his opportunity, he has the size and ability to be a very good player. Doesnt have the mental tuffness needed
True, but if rumours are true and he really isn't happy playing basketball then I suppose he's free to choose his own path even if it is a waste of his abilities and size. Now that people mention it, he never really appears to be enjoying the game of basketball(although you can't always judge people by the expressions etc) Now you look at a guy like Shaq or Barkely, Jordan, Kobe etc you can tell they absolutely love the game and savour every moment. I never saw that with Bynum.

I'd like doing pretty much anything for 12 mil a year
in his defense I don't think any of us know how he feels when he gets out of bed in the morning.
He had a career year in 2011 but then got hurt, would you like playing basketball if your knees couldn't holdup and you were getting a surgery every year?
If someone gave me a $24 million contract, year you guys are speaking like he should have a choice whether he wants to play hard or not.
no I didn't, I just said his body is fucked and playing basketball probably does suck for him.
He has been healthy for 1 year his entire career and that year he was a top 15 player in the NBA.
Not sure where you got the 24Ms from? He makes 6M incentive based deal this year. Nothing to sneeze at but given he has made $ already I could see why it would be tough to want to play.
I know most people aren't checking for Cleveland Cavaliers games, but trust me he can't even move out there. He is barely more healthy than Greg Oden.
It was a $24 million contract with $6m guaranteed. He's a bad apple. His attitude and personality are why he is suspended, not because he's unhappy because his health. He's always been a bitch and difficult to deal with.
I mean I'm not really being over the top here, he can't move. You think this plays no role in his attitude? Cmon now...
I'm just saying I can't imagine why bball wouldn't be completely miserable for him and if he is already financially set then why labor that bad.
Its silly to judge him unless you yourself are a millionaire several times over working a job that pays a couple mil but no longer enjoy it. Its now physically demanding to the point of being painful and your stuck in a cold and depressing place like Cleveland or Philadelphia more than half the year. Im going going back to Cali.
