this game is a prime example of why black head coaches are not even close to white head coaches at the position.they are just not as smart as the white head coaches, and that showed near the end of the 3rd quarter when stanford head coach shaw called time out on 4th down to get a play set up and he calls a half ass running play on 4th and 3 and he loses yardage to boot.you would have thought he would have called a better play than that garbage but considering its not that off the wall i guess.

not only that blunder of a call, but this whole game michigan st has changed up been able to change up its game plan to stop stanford and the cardinal has got worse.its all coaching and its who has better smarts as far as adjusting a game and its been proven that black head coaches are not even close to running a team........this goes for everything to,baseball ,football, basketball, etc, who are all the great coaches that have won huge accomplishments baseball-larussa,leyland,lasorda,torre,billy martin,etc,basketball-coach k.,roy williams, dean smith,pittino,wodden,football-saban,stoops,osborne,bowden,nfl-belechick,coughlin,cowher,gruden,lombardi,etc,but you see the trend here, its clear who has the smarts of winning and who does not

Second-guessers would be all over Shaw if he failed on anything but his best play at the end.

Shaw is definitely not a smart coach. It's not about race, though.

The dive into the line call to end the game was horrible.

Which of course makes Coach Shaw a prime target of Texas football and 3 or so NFL openings!

He was smarter than the 11 white coaches he beat this year. He didn't win the PAC 10 being a dumbass. I could say that most of his key players were white and that they were inferior athletes but that would be a ridiculous comment.

What a joke

I know it's only the 1st of the year, but this post needs to be archived and revisited at the end of the year as perhaps the single dumbest post of the year.

I guess Kevin Summlin isn't a good coach either?
James Franklin sucks?

Just when I think you're a pretty decent poster Keyman, you throw some racist crap like this out there. Good lord have mercy.

Or his players were outplayed by a better team?

Why was he outcoached? Because they didn't get the 1st down on 4th and 1?
He kicked a fg on 4th and 3 down 7. He ran it up the middle twice on 4th down against the best defense in the country with 10 guys in the box out of a timeout. LOL.

1) There was 5:00 to play when he kicked a FG. His D is good and they did stop MSU giving them one more chance. At least half of all FBS coaches would've made the same decision.

2) His team is #22 in the nation in rushing offense. It's what they do. Strength on strength and they got beat. It is what it is.

I'd be pissed if I was a Stanford fan. I thought he choked. Then again, if I was a Stanford fan I'd be high right now so wouldn't be worried about it.

I sometimes wonder if guys making comments about certain teams on the West Coast have even watched them play a down all year.

Why would you be pissed? Because they didn't get a first down on 4th and 1? I guess that would make me mad as a fan as well. Then I'd say "hey, MSU is a good team and stuffed us." "The better team won, hat's off to them."

He didn't adjust after the MSU timeout. The play worked before the MSU timeout to adjust. Stanford should have changed plays but didn't, a decision this coach will live with for a long time.

I sometimes wonder how people defend a guy that ran it on 4th and 3 out of a timeout when every single gap was filled by a guy at the line of scrimmage. It's what they do, I guess. Just make sure you don't check out of it at the line, guys. It's what we do.

Because it's what they've done all year and it's worked all year. It's their strength. They think their 11 is better than yours.

What did you want him to do? His WR's are not as good as MSU's secondary.
