Surprised he didn't wait to hear Detroit's offer, if the rumors were true that Detroit had interest. Detroit(and Houston) are 2 of the best jobs a new Coach could get. Teams loaded with talent.

I dont understand these people doing the hiring.

Lovie is a good DC but he is no head coach.

Some of these teams are clueless.

Rooney rule is a joke too.

How about Cleveland.......Not only do they screw Chud, but I read tonight they are hiring that idiot Schwartz to be the DC before they even hire a head coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael Lombardi needs to go back and work for the NFL Network. Dude is in over his head. Yet another one living off Belechiks tree of associates......gonna bring in more Belechik disciples too IM sure now that he will lock up Spaceballs Scwartz............Josh McDouchbag Daniels will probably be the new head coach too. In fact they probably already agreed on it and Josh gave the OK for Shithead Shwartz...........Schwartz had a team of all pros in Detroit and ran the team into the shithole.

Im a Bucs fan and I love this hire. Chicago fans hated him, but Chicago fans also overestimate how good their team (and qb) are.

"The Bears ranked second in the NFL with 445 points, the second most in franchise history, while setting team records with 6,109 total yards, 4,450 passing yards, 344 first downs, 32 passing touchdowns and a 96.9 passer rating.

For only the second time in Bears history, the offense featured two 1,000-yard receivers in Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall and a 1,000-yard rusher in Matt Forte."

Thank god Lovie is gone from Chicago.. Hope you like vanilla bc that's all Lovie will give you.

Lovie was very involved in player personnel decisions and you can see how those worked out for the Bears. In-game decisions making......you will get to enjoy that now Bucs fans.

LOL.. just because a team doesn't make the playoffs doesn't mean it was a horrible season. Bears were ONE game away when everyone thought they were done midway thru the season. Kind of hard to make the playoffs when your best run stopper, best linebacker, AND best cornerback are injured.

his last 3 years in chicago he went 10-6, 8-8, and 11-5. If he can do that in Tampa i'll be happy as hell.

The Bears won 2 less games than they did last year.

I know this is hard to comprehend but the defense, which was already aging, was old and injured. There was no depth, thanks in large part to Lovie and his pal Angelo. The offense, which was awful, was rebuilt and is near the top of the league. The current GM will have to deal with trying to fix the defense this offseason.

So even though he wasnt there this year, the fact that the Bears missed the playoffs is still Lovie's fault? They lost their last 2 games and didnt show up against Philly. Thats either no heart, bad coaching or a mixture of both.
