There is also futures risk on Auburn. After the Tigers lost to LSU on Sept. 21 to fall to 3-1, the LVH took a max play on Auburn to win it all at 200-to-1. The book also took a couple bets on Auburn at 100-to-1 or higher.

Question - what is Hilton's max play on a future bet? At 200-1, someone was looking at a big payday i imagine.

It's basically a spur of the moment decision by the supervisor/manager...............in the majority of cases, most futures wagers will help balance the books, obviously a few times a book is going to be exposed on longshots.

Make no mistake about it, a well managed futures board is money in the bank for a sportsbook..
