I was going to make a post after he won the Heisman but I couldn't find a transcript or video of his acceptance speech. A speech that was pretty bizarre, wasn't understandable at some points and was a ramblefest of utter nonsense. The prior winners in the background were rolling their eyes, were visibly embarrassed for him and if they could have snuck out without anyone noticing they would have.

Now comes more ramblings after winning the title last night. The transcript doesn't do justice to how bad he came across again.

We champions,” Winston said. “We can share that. We are champions together. And through everything that we went through. Through all the haters. Through every single thing, we came our victorious. God did this. I’m so blessed. He’s so blessed. All the stuff that he handled with Ethan (Fisher, the coach’s son) and he come out here and coach us? That touched me. And it’s nobody but God. It’s nobody.”

Did he take English classes anywhere? Because to me if this is the generation of athletes coming forward holy cow!

After football what will he do? He better pray he doesn't get hurt and take out a huge insurance policy now because he will have nothing to turn to.

I can't argue with those ramblings but in his defense, he is a freshman (redshirt) and still has a lot of maturing to do.

although I can totally see this kid turning into a Kevin Garnett type interviewer

The NCAA used to post the SAT/ACT scores of incoming athletes, no longer.

Want to guess why?

Unfortunately that tweet was spot on and was likely taken as malicious since it's an Alabama QB family member.

Acebb thanks for posting that article. It just goes to show how money and nothing else is at the center of these institutions. Louisville 26 million in basketball alone and that was 10 million more than the second highest. That's a lot of fn money generated. Where do you think it all goes back to? Fancy cars, big houses and fat pay checks with bonuses. Sure some trickles down to the other sports at the institution but damn.
